The only internet system built by a traveler,
to keep you connected wherever you are.
Everything you've heard about the Insty Connect is true.
It really can keep you connected just about anywhere.
And we do love making them for you.
Being able to work from the road is a great blessing. I know the importance of staying connected while out and about, and the differences between 'features' and down right essentials when it comes to internet on the road.
A powerful base for fast speeds and great device connectivity.
Hours of painstaking research went into this antenna design. The result?
An antenna that is super easy to install, and will give you the best signal possible.
It's specifically designed to lock on to high performing 5G/LTE bands, so you can finally be released from the multi-user congestion that plagues most mobile users.
The software is designed to do the 'techy stuff' for you, pulling in the best speeds possible.
With Insty Express Lane locking technology, you can now find the least congested, fastest service available to you, wherever you are.
Since the Insty Connect is the first modular internet system, it allows you to have the most tools in your toolbox. If there's a cell signal, you'll be the one to receive it.
The binoculars are available as an add-on to the Insty Connect Explorer 4G and 5G.
The best signal with the best speeds possible. For work, education, and entertainment, everything you need to connect is right here.

Please check this Knowledgebase article for an up-to-date report on shipping times:
The new X62 Modem can do Carrier Aggregation (CA) in the 5G bands, so essentially can create a much larger ‘pipe’ to the cell towers. T-Mobile users will see a difference right away as they are already set to utilize the larger pipe, with AT&T and Verizon to follow shortly.
The new X62 modem also claims to have a 40% better range and less power usage. So far we have been impressed with the performance. In most cases, it’s a slight improvement on the current X55, but it has the potential to be quite a bit faster when the providers roll out the CA in the 5g spectrum.
Yes. The IC is an LTE internet router and will need at least (1) active sim card to be able to pull in internet. You can have up to 2 SIM cards in the 4g Cat 12 model and easily switch between them using the dashboard.
Nano sim card. Same size that fits into an iPhone.
The IC will work with most data plans that are being sold in the US. You need an active SIM card with an active data plan.
What plan you choose is up to you based on your needs and location.
We suggest contacting your cellular provider and inquiring about data plans, or seeking information from sources like the Mobile Internet Resource Center for more information about the type of plans that are available today.
YES! We have quite a few customers using the Insty Connect for their main internet access. Checkout this KB article here with how you can get the perfect system for your rural home:
There are so many data plans available today that is is hard to keep up on all of them. Because of that, we can't make any recommendations at this time.
This may change in the future, so keep tabs with Nick through his YouTube channel or the IC email list.
Yes! Inside the configuration area of the Insty Connect is a tool called Hotspot Manager. In this tool, you can scan and join Wifi networks. You can keep a listing of all wifi networks in the hotspot manager and connect as needed.
Yes. The newest firmware version (v1.3) of Insty now includes Starlink Integration. You can use Starlink as an Internet source in the Multi Internet Integration tab.

Our goal is to help you get the best connection you can over LTE. That being said, there are places where the IC or any LTE modem will not work.
We will gladly accept returns of the IC within 30 days of you getting it.
Since we won't be able to sell the unit as new anymore, there will be a 10% restocking fee, and we ask that you please return the Insty Connect in original packaging, in great condition, and that you please cover return shipping.
To start the return process, please contact support via the Contact Us button and we'll issue an RMA.
We will warranty parts and equipment for (1) year from defects. We will stand by our device and help you as best we can. In the event of a device malfunction, please contact us and we'll do our best to make it right.
For those in the Insty Connect Care plan, we will provide free replacement of any plastic parts (including the angel wings and mounting pole) less shipping and handling.
Unfortunately we don't have an answer on this. We are not yet buying the equipment in bulk for the 5g version, so final pricing can not be determined at this time.
We have opened the 5g up for pre-order as a way to allow people to support the Insty Connect project and to be on the 'leading edge' of 5g when we begin testing.
The Insty Connect uses a custom USB type data cable to go from the router to the modem. You get (1) 15 foot data cable with your purchase of the IC. You have the option of purchasing another data cable to daisy chain together for a max of 30 feet.
We do not recommend going longer than the maximum data cable length of 30 feet.
You can possibly reach out longer than this using an active USB extension cable without much risk to the hardware components, but we would not be able to support any issues that may arise from this.
Unfortunately you can't bond the 2 sims in the insty connect modem because there is only 1 modem. So, you can only do a single connection at a time.
What if you had 2 modems? Great question! Right now, the Insty Connect will only support 1 modem and 1 connection to the internet at a time.
We will be researching and testing a dual angel wing system as we would like to integrate bonding at some point in the future, just not yet :)
Stay tuned.
The Insty Connect Angel wings and Cloud wings have the same round pole flange on the back, so you can mount it to any pole 1.5-2" in diameter. Because of that, the pole mount is optional. You can purchase the pole mount as an add-on in the order form.
If you order the Insty Mount Post, we'll include 2 strong zip ties to secure the Angel Wings/ Cloud Wings antenna to the post.
*NOTE* Hose clamps or strong zip ties are required to secure the wings to the mount pole. The screws are meant to be used as a guide only.

Yes! The Insty Connect will help you get a better signal and speed wherever you need it. (as long as a cell signal exists)
The most important part is to try to get the Angel Wings outside, preferably facing the direction of the tower.
For instance, you can mount the wings on the side of the house/cabin using the mount holes on the back of the wings and run the data cable through a window to the router inside.
Yes! but the wings NEED TO BE KEPT UPRIGHT!
The wings are designed to keep water away from the modem inside. They do this by creating a large cavity where the modem lives, with access to the data cable and antenna cables from the bottom. The 'angel feet' will also help keep water away from the modem.
The angel wings have been tested in pouring rains at highway speeds. As long as they are facing the correct way (looks like an arrow pointing to the sky), there should be no problems.
We have done our homework in the US when it comes to regulations, etc. We did compliance testing with the FCC and are cleared to sell it in the US.
For any other countries, please check your local laws and regulations for importing electronic equipment to be used for LTE.
Our modem includes many of the bands that are used around the world and should work with most providers.
SHIPPING NOTE: We can ship internationally but there will be an additional charge. After you place your order, we'll reach out to you when we are ready to ship and let you know what the additional shipping fees will be.
INTERNATIONAL DUTIES: Your country may charge duties for import from the US. We are required by law to report the value of the equipment being shipped to your country, so please check your local laws and duty fees before ordering.
The router is 12v 2 amps. It will usually run less than 1 amp when you have a decent signal.
The IC comes with a 12v 2 a wall power adapter so you can plug it into standard 110v outlets. It also comes with a DC power dongle to hook direct to 12v for your car, rv, boat.
Insty Connect 4G:
Yes, the 5G X55 and X62 modems include Band 71. This is a great low frequency band helps T-Mobile customers get a great signal farther away from the tower.
During our pre-order, put TRAVELING in one of the address boxes and we'll reach out to you when it's time to ship.
You can also drop another address or put notes in during the order process if you need to alert us of any info.
Sorry, the angel wings and the router are a perfect 'dream team'. The software and hardware make the Insty Connect awesome.
At this time we cannot sell them separately.
Lots of testing! We started by knowing the LTE signals are slant polaraized, which means they leave the tower at a 45 degree angle.
From that point, we tested many antenna types and designs to find the perfect omni-directional antenna - so you can just install it and forget about it.
Using modern antenna diagnostic tools, we were able to find the right orientation for 'perfect resonance'. It is in 'tune' with LTE frequencies, so it's able to talk with the towers like no other antenna can do.
Even the wires hanging like they do are by design. Think of it like an LTE catcher!
We designed the Insty Connect to be modular, so you can have a system that can adapt to bring you the best speeds.
The Cloud Wings are an omni-directional antenna, which means you don't have to aim it.
The 'Binoculars' is what we call our directional antenna that you can use to 'see' towers way off in the distance and get a much better, focused signal and in some cases, much better speeds (especially in the fringe zones).
Just like our Cloud Wings, you will use the modem module and insert it into the Binoculars. The result will be speeds like no other LTE or 5G modem can get.
The Binoculars is a great add-on to the Insty Connect system. We recommend purchasing the angel wings as the base system, and having the Binoculars on standby when needed.
Our family YouTube channel is called We Can Explore it. Tune in for some adventures :)
