1. Over or Underpacking
For every vacation, you're going to need to bring stuff. However, it's very easy to either bring too much stuff, or overpack, or bring too little, or underpack.
The best way to make sure you have all the essentials, while still making sure not to bring too many different items, is to make a list for that trip, and to go over that list several times. That way, you can make sure you're bring exactly what you need, while leaving stuff that you don't need at home.
2. Overlooking RV Park or Resort Reservations
This is a BIG one. Most people don't realize how quickly RV parks can fill up, which can lead to you being stranded without a place to stay for one, or even several nights. No one wants to scramble to find a different option, so be sure to get those reservations in! Most places allow you to cancel reservations if you need to, so feel free to look around and find the best parks or resorts for your specific needs
3. Unreliable Internet
Internet is one of the most important factors in traveling, because you never really can be sure that the wifi at the place you are staying is going to work well enough. Having a good provider can make or break your trip, especially if you have to work from your RV and have to stay connected.
Thankfully, here at Insty Connect we have the perfect system to solve that problem, and make sure you stay connected wherever you are! With the Insty Connect, make sure that you're connected wherever you need to be.
4. Ignoring Weather
The weather is another thing that will make or break a vacation. From not knowing what temperatures are going to be like and bringing all the wrong clothes, to choosing to go somewhere right when there's about to be a solid week of rain. It is a veyr easy mistake to make, but a bit of careful planning can prevent a lot of issues (And can keep you from having to buy new sweaters for your entire family.... Unless you like doing that)
5. Not Planning your Route
Half of the vacation is the journey it takes to get there, and misjudging routes can be a critical error. Depending on your RV, some routes may be completely impassable, with low bridges or weight limits making getting by much harder. Another issue is fuel stops. Running out of fuel is a major problem, especially if you happen to be in a place where the nearest stop is far away. This is where planning out your route is going to be especially helpful, so you can know when you have to make that final stop.
These are just a few of the most common mistakes you can make when traveling. We hope this little article helped you be more prepared for your future endeavors, so you can make the best choices, and have the best vacations! As always, thank you so much for reading, and we'll see you next time!
