Pause your data plan

Heading home for a while? Pause your Insty.Online data plan from your account so you're not paying for months you're not rolling โ€” and hold your spot for just $5/mo.

The short answer

No contracts here โ€” pause your plan whenever life parks the rig. You do it from your Insty.Online account, not the router: open your data plan, hit Pause Service, and pick when it stops. Keep it on Standby ($5/mo) while it's paused so you can pick right back up โ€” that part matters (more below).

How to pause

  1. Log in to your account at billing.insty.online/clientarea.php.
  2. Find your active Insty.Online data plan and click View Details.
  3. Click the Pause Service button.
  4. Fill in the quick details (this just helps us know if you're planning to come back) and choose your timing:
  • Immediately โ€” your service pauses within a few hours.
  • At the end of the billing period โ€” you keep the data you've already paid for, and it pauses on your next billing date.
Those pause notes aren't a support channelThe box where you explain why you're pausing isn't monitored. If you need a hand with something, contact us directly instead.

Keep it on Standby โ€” please don't fully cancel

When you pause, keep your plan on Standby for just $5/mo. This is what we recommend for anyone who expects to be back on the road, and it does one important thing behind the scenes: it keeps your SIM cards alive and your system programmed on our servers. Your same plan and pricing stay reserved, so the day you head back out you just hit resume โ€” you're online in minutes, nothing to ship, nothing to set up.

Fully closing your account kills your SIMs โ€” and it's a real hassle to come backStandby's $5/mo isn't just holding a spot โ€” it keeps your SIMs registered on the carrier network. If you cancel completely instead, those SIM cards go dead, and getting you running again is no longer a click: we have to ship you brand-new SIMs, re-activate them on the network, and re-program your system on our servers โ€” which means a shipping fee and a re-activation fee, and a wait before you're back online. Unless you're truly done for good, stay on Standby. It's $5/mo to avoid all of that.
Just gone for a weekend? Don't pause โ€” use Hot-StandbyPausing is for weeks or months off the road. If you only need internet now and then, the On Demand / Hot-Standby plan is the better fit โ€” pay per day, no pausing required.

Coming back

When you're ready to roll again, log back in, open the plan, and resume โ€” or pick a new plan if your needs changed. Your equipment doesn't need anything special; once the plan is active again the system picks it up.
