ANTENNA / MODEM

Companion Guide
GOOD NEWS You may never need this. Your whole system runs from the Insty app at http://192.168.8.1. This guide is the deeper reference for the modem itself — its own dashboard, the SIM cards, and troubleshooting.

1Getting to the SIM cards

Your modem ships with 2 SIM cards pre-installed for insty.online service — already seated, ready to go. You only open it up if you're swapping a SIM or bringing your own.

The modem inside the antenna enclosure — antenna wires and ethernet

The modem sits inside the antenna: four antenna wires + one ethernet cable back to the router.

Pressing the yellow SIM-release button with a PIN tool

Press the little yellow button beside the tray with a PIN/SIM tool to pop it out.

  1. Remove the antenna lid cover.
  2. Gently unscrew the antenna wires so the modem slides out of the enclosure.
  3. Use a PIN or SIM tool to press the yellow button next to the SIM tray; swap the SIM as needed.
  4. Re-seat the modem and reconnect the antenna wires exactly as pictured.
⚠ Don't touch the gold contacts. Finger oils can cause SIM errors over time. Seeing a SIM error after a swap? Pop the tray and re-seat the SIM — that's almost always it.

2Set up a SIM

On insty.online? Nothing to do — your SIMs are already set to Insty.Online. This is only for a bring-your-own SIM.

In a browser, go to http://192.168.225.1
(type the http:// — not https) to open the Antenna Dashboard, then tap SIM profile and:

  • Give the SIM a reference name.
  • Pick your provider — or choose Other and enter its APN (ask your carrier).
  • Leave IP Version at IPv4 & IPv6 and TTL at 0 unless told otherwise.
  • Save — the modem reboots with the new settings.

Meet the Antenna Dashboard

Same address — http://192.168.225.1 — this is the modem's own control panel. Here's what's on it:

⚠ Support tools shows sensitive IDs (IMEI, ICCID, IMSI). Only share those with Insty support — never post them publicly.
On-Demand Internet. When your plan is a daily/standby plan, the system sits in standby and shows Enable Now — tap it and you're online instantly (a daily charge applies, good until midnight). Set Auto-enable and it can bring service up on its own when a device needs the internet.

Debug menu — the antenna log

If support asks for the antenna log:

  1. At the bottom of the dashboard, tap the blue ©InstyConnect text.
  2. Enter the password: mywarrantyisvoid
  3. With the log window open, pull injector power for 10 seconds, then plug back in.
  4. Wait 3–5 minutes for the log to fill.
  5. Copy all the text in the Log Viewer and send it to support.

⚠ Send AT Commands only when support tells you to. Unsupported commands that change serial numbers or settings can void your warranty.

4Reboot & reset the antenna

WiFi connected but no internet? If your system was working and suddenly the internet drops (but your phone is still on the Insty WiFi), a quick antenna reboot usually fixes it.

Easiest: open http://192.168.225.1 and tap Reboot in the Tools row.

Can't reach the dashboard? Pull power from the injector box, wait 20 seconds, and plug it back in. The antenna comes back within a minute.

Always power-cycle the antenna (at the injector) — not just the router. That's the piece that needs the reset.
Pull DC power from the POE injector to reboot the antenna

Pull power at the injector's DC 12–24V jack — the first fix to try.

Quick fixes
No signal / no service — get the antenna up high with a clear view (outdoor models outside, Window right at the glass); snug every cable; confirm coverage in your area.
“Not registered” / “Denied” — plan or SIM active? Right slot? Most plans use one SIM — Switch SIM from the dashboard.
SIM error — a SIM isn't seated; open the antenna (page 1) and re-seat it.
Registered but no internet — insty.online: message us, we'll check your service. Own SIM: verify provider/APN + that the line is active.
